Narrative Description of Project: The project is to prepare a detailed project report (DPR) and design of Bagrami-Khakijabbar-Hisarak-Gandmak-Sherrzad-Surkhrod road, a 2-lane 158 km road including 23 nos. of RCC Bridge of length varies from 30m to 100m and 1 no. 160m and 143 nos. of culverts of different types. The DPR also include the safeguard documents (Initial Environmental Examination and Resettlement Plan).
Description of Actual Services Provided by Design Planning & Management Consultants Ltd: i. Review of all available reports and published information about the project road and the project influence area. ii. Detailed reconnaissance survey for roads and other infrastructures. iii. Identification of possible improvements in the existing alignment and bypassing congested locations with alternatives, evaluation of different alternatives on techno economic and other considerations and recommendations regarding most appropriate option. iv. Inventory and condition surveys for road. v. Inventory and condition surveys for bridges, cross-drainage structures and drainage provisions. vi. Detailed design of 158km of road, its x-sections, horizontal and vertical alignment and design of embankment. Detailed design of structures of 23 nos. of RCC bridges of length varies from 30m to 100m and 1 no. 160m, & 143 nos. of culvers of different sizes & types. Preparation of construction drawings. vii. Preparation of bill of quantities and tender document.
