Narrative Description of Project:

 

The endeavour of the Department of Road (DoR), Ministry of Works & Human Settlement, was to strengthen the capacity of Bridge Division on a priority basis to design long span permanent bridges.  The program includes training of eight participants from the Bridge Division of DoR including one from the Suspension Bridge Section, RISD, DUDES. During the training a 30m single span, single lane , RC Box girder bridge was analysed and designed using SAP 2000.

 

Description of Actual Services Provided by our Staff within the Assignment:

 

Conducted training program on design of pre-stressed concrete bridges to the engineers of Bridge Division.      

The training covered the following topics:

·         Design of single span RCC Box/T Girder Bridge;

·         Single span PSC 1 Girder Bridge and

·         Use of SAP 2000 in analysis and design of bridges.
