Narrative Description of the Project: The study of the project includes: (i) to analyze the
institutional frame work, coordination among concerned agencies, peoples
participation, lessons learned and impacts from past and ongoing small scale
rural infrastructure development projects and (ii) to recommend effective and
efficient mechanism for developing small scale rural infrastructures. The
study focused on projects implemented by
LGED, DPHE and REB. The types of
infrastructure projects reviewed were: i) Union/Upazila roads, ii)
Rural Markets/growth Centres, iii) Union parishad complefx, iv) Water Supply
and Sanitation, v) Rural Electricity and vi) Small Scale Water
Resources. |

Detailed
Description of Actual Services Provided by our Staff: Institutional frame work analysis including review of
major projects and program, detailed case studies in four selected areas
including impact assessment, primary and secondary data collection, data
analysis and producing reports. Provide input into the designing of field
surveys and technical and logistical supports to the Study Team. |
