Narrative Description of the Project: The River
Survey Project (FAP-24) is one of the supporting activities of the Flood
Action Plan. It comprises of: comprehensive field survey programme; investigation
into hydro-morphological process and study their effects; and a training component The project aimed at providing on the job training to BWDB Engineers
and Sub-Asstt. Engineers on hydro-morphological data collection and in new
river survey techniques. The on-the-job field training on major rivers like
Jamuna/Padma/Ganges also included collection of data for practical use. The
project also aimed at upgrading the institutional capability in |
